-Week Four-

    Lessons Learned 

The most impactful thing out of this week's material for me was the self-reflection essay. Reading the document and reflecting on what it said really helped me to realize how important God is in my own life. Then after writing things out, I realized even more that I couldn't do any of this by myself. After realizing how important my relationship with God is to me, I was made aware of the need to put more daily work into that relationship. I realized that I need to be better with my prayers and scripture reading in order to feel closer to God and receive the revelation I need in order to better navigate college life. I am grateful for the opportunity to reflect a little bit and think about ways to improve.

 Lessons not yet learned 

With all that being said, I have moved my thinking over to the practical implications of what I have learned this week. I realize what the goals are and the things that I need to improve. But I need to further plan out ways to actually reach those goals. I have decided to take the advice of my mission president and start the day by reading the book of Mormon until I feel the spirit. This to me is the best way that somebody can start their day. I think that by doing this, I can feel even closer to God and begin to rely on this special time with Him each day.

    Conclusion

In conclusion, this week taught me a lot about my spiritual priorities and where they need to be in order that I can have success in life. I will try in the weeks that follow to make a special effort to develop these habits so that I can have what I need to be better.

The author Charles Handy argues that these values are important because business is a system that relies on trust. To a certain fundamental degree, the business world would not function as intended if the values of virtue and integrity didn't exist. Elder D. Todd Christopherson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles gave a great talk on this subject titled "Sustainable Societies". Week 7

     6 /9/24 Entrepreneur Journal -Week Seven-      Lessons Learned      This week we read the seven habits of highly effective people. For me, none of this material was new. My father read this book long ago and has carried some of its teachings on to me during my childhood years. For this reason, it was very easy for me to select my favorite of the 7 habits. The one my father mentioned the most and the one that really stuck with me was "seek first to understand, then to be understood". My father always told me that this was the most important and I agree with him. Oftentimes, people have a lot more important things to say than we probably think. Understanding what others are trying to convey because we respond can be a huge tool in helping us respond more intelligently. Week 14

  7 /24/24 Entrepreneur Journal -Week Fourteen-      Lessons Learned          This semester I have learned a lot from this course. I definitely was not what I thought it would be going in. I was expecting a more practical, informational approach to the intro to entrepreneurship topic. Really I would consider this class to be more like a "believe in yourself 101". There weren't a whole lot of business terms discussed or vocabulary used however, the information given in this class was useful in a completely different way. It taps more into the feeling of being an entrepreneur by using the advice and experience of others. If I were to give one piece of advice to a group of students, I would tell them that the core of entrepreneurialism is not making money or chasing wealth.
